Triumph Hospital Lima Expands Services

(Lima, Ohio/September 25th, 2009) Triumph Hospital Lima announced today the completion of a six month renovation project with the opening of their new Intermediate Care Unit. Triumph operates a twenty-six bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) “hospital within a hospital” on the 6th floor of St. Rita’s Medical Center at 730 West Market Street. The newly renovated area will allow for all private rooms and includes the addition of a six bed Intermediate Care Unit.

This new unit’s oversized rooms can accommodate bedside procedures for Triumph’s highest acuity patients. The Intermediate Care Unit patients can receive invasive cardiac monitoring in addition to tracheostomy, peg and chest tube insertions as well as other intensive level of care services.

“We are very pleased to have expanded our capabilities in Lima. Our mission is to care for those medically complex patients who require extended hospital stays and with our new Intermediate Care Unit we can more fully meet the needs of patients with intensive care needs,” stated Kris Karns, CEO for Triumph Hospital Lima. “Our Medical Staff has been very supportive through the renovations and we welcome the opportunity to show the healthcare community as well as the public our new hospital,” added Karns.

The hospital will celebrate with a general open house on Monday, October 5th from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The entrance to Triumph from St. Rita’s is now located on the 6th floor just off of the E elevators.
